Saturday was an incredibly good day – which was what I needed after having such a disastrous week. My mother took me shopping, naturally we spent lots of money...a few new dresses and cardigans from Zara, a dress from French Connection and some adorable new shoes...I don’t usually wear ballet pumps, I prefer a nice boot or something a little edgier but I absolutely fell in love with these adorable bronze ballet shoes – they’re adorned with bronze sequins around the back, and have a cute little strap too...the main reason why I don’t wear flat shoes is because I was a ballerina for many many years, and subsequently have messed up and awkwardly shaped feet which look tragique in regular shoes...however, I couldn’t resist this pair...la la la.
Saturday evening I had to attend a dinner party...I’m the type of girl that HATES dinner parties, seriously...they’re so fake and everyone ends up trying to outdo everyone else, and sure – I fit right in with that and usually enjoy being that obnoxious, however I’ve been to far too many dinner parties recently, and after a while you just grow sick and tired of them...so I reluctantly agreed to attend, and complained the whole way there...but it actually turned out to be a great evening! I was sat next to my cousin who’s an accountant – we’re decided that together we shall rule Britain...I’ll be the Prime Minister and he’ll be the Chancellor of the Exchequer. It was quite a revealing evening, I found out that one of my uncle’s was rated by The Times newspaper as being one of the top ten greatest things about the 2005 general election – he was a candidate, and he’s pretty quirky...I think that’s fabulous.
My copy of November’s Vogue arrived the other day, it’s such a good issue – although I’m not a huge fan of the front cover...I was slightly taken aback to see Bee Shaffer as one of the contributing writers too – though I guess it’s not surprising considering who her mother is...still, I despise anyone with a link to American Vogue, it’s absolute rubbish ...I really do hope that the Russian Vogue editor, Aliona Doletskaya, does take over American Vogue. Something needs to change.
Aside from the shows at Paris Fashion Week, I always become increasingly excited to see my favourite actress sat in the front rows...she comes out of hiding every fashion week, and each time she seems more beautiful...Clémence Poésy...honestly, she can do no wrong in my eyes. Her choice of clothing is always superbly executed and she never overloads her face with make-up, she truly is one of those unique beauties, ah, j’adore.

And, I really really really really really miss Kingsley; we haven’t seen each other for a few weeks now due to being at separate universities. Thankfully he’s coming to see me for my birthday at the end of this month, we’ll be able to spend a few really nice days together...as much as I love being at university, I really cannot wait to graduate so that Kings and I can properly start our life together - it’s going to be a beautiful life.
Only one year and eight months – yes, I’m counting.
